Biesse Selco SK 470-PANEL SAW

The Biesse Selco SK 470 is an industrial CNC-controlled beam panel saw designed for high-production cutting of wood-based panels, laminates, MDF, particleboard, plywood, and similar sheet materials. Built for demanding cabinet, furniture, and architectural millwork manufacturing environments, the SK 470 combines high cutting speeds with automated material positioning and precision computer-controlled operation.

The SK 470 features a maximum saw blade projection of approximately 90 mm (3.54"), allowing multiple panels to be stacked and cut simultaneously depending on material thickness and application. Its saw carriage is capable of operating at speeds ranging from approximately 1 to 120 m/min (3 to 394 ft/min), while the programmable rear pusher can travel at speeds up to approximately 60 m/min (197 ft/min).

Depending on configuration, the Selco SK 470 may be available with cutting capacities of approximately 3200 x 3200 mm, 3800 x 3200 mm, 3800 x 3800 mm, or 4300 x 4400 mm. A common SK 470 configuration provides a 3800 x 3800 mm (approximately 149.6" x 149.6") cutting area, making it suitable for processing standard and oversized panel products.

The machine utilizes a brushless-motor-driven saw carriage and positioning system designed for smooth, accurate movement. Depending on the original equipment package, machines may include Biesse's Twin Pusher technology, automatic main-blade projection control, electronic scoring blade adjustment, quick-change blade system, air flotation tables, labeling systems, barcode scanning, and optimization software. These features can reduce material handling, improve yield, and streamline repetitive production cutting.

The Selco SK 470 is particularly well suited for manufacturers requiring accurate, repetitive panel sizing with high throughput. Integration with Biesse optimization software can automatically calculate cutting patterns and material utilization, helping reduce waste while improving production efficiency.
